Frequently Asked Questions

Trades

How do I get my items listed for trade?

Login to your account, if you don't have an account, create one, its free. Click on "My Account" in the top right, and click the inventory tab. Select the product line and set. Putting a value in the trade column will make you appear as having that item for trade.

You must also list you items you Want, so other users will know you you will accept in trade.

Why are my trades not showing?

You must log into your account at least once every 14 days for your trades to stay active. We do this so only valid trades will show in the list.

How do I make a trade with someone?

At the top of the users trade page there should be a Propose Trade link. Select the items that you are interested in, and the ones you want to trade, optionally add a comment and then click Propose Trade button. This will send the trade proposal to the user to accept or deny.

If you proposal was denied, view if there are any comments and possibly make another proposal.

If your trade was accepted, and both user have high positive trades, then both users should send their items immediately

If your trade was accepted and you have high positive trades and the person you are trading with does not, you should take some extra precautions, see How To Protect Yourself below.

If your trade was accepted and you do not have many positive trades and the person you are trading with does, then they may take extra precautions and ask more of you, see How To Protect Yourself below.

After both parties have received their items, then you should provide feedback on this trade. If the trade was positive, but not bad enough to be a negative, then mark the trade as neutral and leave no comment. Neutral comments do not appear on a person's public profile.

After both parties have provided feedback, then the trade will be marked as complete.

How do I know I can trust a user?

The best way is by looking at their past trades and ratings. If a user doesn't have many positive trades, then you need to take more precautions when trading with this user, see below.

How can I protect myself when trading with someone with few positive trades.

Just because a person does not have many positive trades does not mean you should not trade with that person. Everyone on this site has to start with zero positive trades. But when trading with someone with few positive trades you need to take extra precautions.

  • Require delivery confirmation or tracking for both yours and their packages.
  • If you have several positive trades (5+), then you can ask the other person to send theirs first and pay extra for tracking. Once you see the packaged has been shipped, then you can send your package.

Can I hold abPrices.com responsible for being scammed by another user?

No, abPrices.com is not responsible for the actions of others. We only provide a way of matching traders together, but play little to no role in the trading process. It is your responsibility to screen potential traders and take precautions. When you initiate or accept a trade with another user, you are taking fully responsibility.
